There was something magical about the tree, and the cat, but I can't remember if it transported.

I love horror novels based on urban legends, though in the case of The Hollow Tree, I only found out that it was inspired by a local myth in the author’s hometown after I finished the book. "The Hollow of the Three Hills" by Nathaniel Hawthorne Analysis by Jacob Thornsberry Thesis Statement In "The Hollow of the Three Hills" Nathaniel Hawthorne uses sensory details, irony, and foreshadowing to show that your family needs you most when times get tough.
